ICT WORKSHOP REPORT
2017-2019 academic year ICT workshop was inaugurated by Dr Lakshmi k Nair Principal on 21st august at the computer lab .Dr Lakshmi k Nair in her inaugurational speech told us about the applications of ICT in our life .Dr Ambili H O D and Dr Sajan sir took us to the influence of ICT and also briefed us the same.Post the speech done by our teachers.The first day we learned about word formatting Microsoft excel and audio editing .On second day Dr sajan sir took us through the video editing ,image editing and creating blog.It was very much helpful and learning curves for us .On third day we started uploading the blog from the learnings that we had frame day one and day two .When we started uploading the blog we felt proud being part of such wonderful learning. It was great learning on day four , day five and day six respectively were Dr sajan helped us in making our blog look better each day. The workshop concluded on the sixth day 30th august with uploading the graph of our performance.The sixth day workshop was great learning and of newer ways of understanding for all of us. We thank our sir for giving such a great and worthful experience.

E-COMMUNICATION
·         Communication is the process of exchanging information
·         All electronic communication systems consists of three basic components:a transmitter,a communication channel(medium),and a receiver.Messages are converted to electrical signals and sent over electrical or fiber optic cable or free space to a receiver.Attenuation(weakening)and noise can interfere with transmission






E-TEXTBOOK
DEFINITION:An electronic version of a printed book


·         It is a book publication made available in digital form,consisting of text,images,or both,readable on the flat-panel display of computers or other electronic devices.








ADVANTAGES OF E-TEXTBOOK
·         Never out of stock and no wait on shipping.E-books are available instantly and can save on time running to stores and waiting in line.
·         Can have web or multimedia tie ins
·         This is key for a generation of students that speak the language of youtube and netfix.
·         Some e-books have text to speak readers:TTS(text to speech) have multiple functions that can enhance the learning experience.Some examples include helping students with dyslexia,reading challenges,or visual impairments.It can also reduce eye strain,improve foreign language learning and promote listening skills.
·         Environmentally friendly
Schools will not have to constantly buy new physical copies of textbooks as curriculum changes and updates are needed.
·         E-books are a more cost effective way of obtaining your full reading curriculum.
·         Storage space is reduced.
Tablets can hold hundreds of textbooks on one device,plus home work,quizzes,and other files,eliminating the need for physical storage of books.
